ProjectsFinger Lakes Area Infrastructure Reliability (FLAIR): NYSEG’s FLAIR project will reconstruct approximately 21 miles of transmission lines that connect the Coddington and Montour Falls substations in Schuyler and Tompkins Counties.
Jennison Transmission Solution (JTS): Located in the Town of Bainbridge, the Jennison Transmission Solution will rebuild 49 miles of existing transmission lines in Delaware and Chenango Counties. The proposed substation work includes a full rebuild and relocation of the Jennison Substation near Mt. Pleasant Road.
Malone Transmission Rebuild (MTR): This project will rebuild a NYSEG circuit between the New York Power Authority’s Willis Substation and National Grid’s Malone Substation. The project will also see new steel poles and larger equipment that help increase capacity.
Southern Tier Area Reliability (STAR) West: This electric transmission line project includes reconstruction of approximately 35 miles of lines in Tioga and Chemung Counties. The lines will run from the Watercure Substation to South Owego substations. Substation work also includes a relocation of the Lounsberry Substation out of a flood plain.
Southern Tier Area Reliability (STAR) East: NYSEG's STAR East project includes the reconstruction of approximately 18 miles of lines in Broome and Tioga Counties. Transmission line upgrades are between the Oakdale and South Owego Substations.
Steuben Chemung Area Transmission Enhancement (SCATE): NYSEG will rebuild high voltage lines between Canandaigua, Stoney Ridge, Watercure, and Hillside Substations to better accommodate capacity and increase reliability.
